As I was in Greece for part of July and it’s been the hottest month so far I’ve mainly been using no fuss long lasting products as the last thing you want to do in the morning is be piling on tonnes of make-up to then sweat it off on the tube- lovely I know.
I have been using the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in the shade Nude and this has been a lifesaver in this heat. The tube can get so so hot and I’ve loved only wearing this with a bit of blusher. It’s such a light weight easy product to use and leaves the skin looking so smooth and fresh. It’s so much better than any other tinted moisturiser I’ve tried as its gives coverage whilst still feeling like you’re only wearing moisturiser.
To go with this I’ve still been loving the new Max Factor cream blushes-again they’re so, so easy to apply and once they’re on they don’t budge. I’ve been using the shade soft pink as it’s such a pretty summer pink shade that went perfectly with my tan. I can’t see anything replacing this little gem anytime soon.
Another product that I’ve been using throughout the whole of July is the newChanel Mascara- Volume de Chanel. I think this mascara may have gained the holy grail status- I just cannot find anything that gives as good as volume and length as this does. It has a plastic applicator with lots of little teeth that gives every single lash a jet black non-budge coating. All of my friends who have tried it have also said it’s the best mascara they’ve used. If you haven’t tried this yet I strongly suggest you do.
Next isMac’s Crème Cup, which I’m sure many of you are no stranger to but for those that aren’t it’s a beautiful dusty pink lipstick from their Cremesheen collection so leaves you with a lovely glossy finish. As it’s such a lovely soft pink colour it works great both day and night, especially with a tan. I’ve mainly been reaching for this in July as it’s a no fuss colour you don’t really have to think about. I like to add a few dabs to my lips with some lip balm and I’m good to go.
Finally, I know we all love the Bioderma Micellar Water but on my hunt to find something a little cheaper and easier to get hold of I’ve stumbled upon the new3 in 1 Micellar Water from L’Oreal. With make-up removers I only have two things I need them to do- effectively remove my make-up and not bring my sensitive skin out in any sort of rash. This product ticks both of these boxes whilst also unclogging pores, removing impurities, toning and smoothing the skin and all for around £3! I think my love affair with Bioderma may be over.
