As the weather is really starting to get colder I’ve been using some products which are really helping to add the moisture back into my hair and skin.
During the winter I tend to get really dry skin on my shins and arms and I’ve never really found a product that helps, so after reading tonnes of reviews I finally caved an bought Cicaplast Baume B5 from La Roche-Posey. This product is a little bit like the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream in that it can be used on a multitude of problems, but I actually prefer this as it’s not sticky at all, it sinks straight into the skin and doesn’t really have a scent. So far my skin hasn’t been feeling as dry as it normally would this time of year and I definitely think it’s down to this.
Next I’ve been using my Hydraluron (full review here) quite a lot again as I’ve starting to notice some dry patches on my cheeks. For me, this has kind of been a continuous favourite this year as I just think it does such a good job at hydrating any problem areas you may have but it’s definitely been working wonders on my skin this month.
Sticking with the hydrating theme and I’ve been absolutely loving the Intensive Nourishing Treatment from Touche by Flavien*. This treatment mask has been leaving my hair incredible soft and it’s all down to the amount of nourishing ingredients of prickly pear oil, argan oil, and sesame seed oil. I’ve been trying to only use this once a week as I want to save it for when I go to Thailand in December, but it’s been pretty hard as it smells amazing and I’m obsessed with how soft it leaves my hair.
The lip product I’ve been loving this month is by MUA in the shade 2 and to be honest I’ve been loving MUA as a brand this whole month because I think they have some really great products and they’re such great value for money. I think that Autumn is all about the berry shades so I’ve been continuously reaching for this lipstick as it feels really moisturising and it’s really well pigmented. I’ve been dabbing it on in the day for a stained effect then applying it all over the lip for a more full on look.
My favourite scent this month has to be The Body Shop’s White Musk Smokey Rose* as it’s just the most beautiful sensuous smokey rose musk scent. I love floral musky scents and my two all time favourite perfumes have to be Chole and Narciso Rodriguez, which both have quite heavy musk scents to them. White Musk Smokey Rose (how many times can I say musk in one post?!) isn’t really like anything I’ve smelt before and I think it’s the perfect perfume to take us into the winter months.
