A couple of weeks ago I was invited to the REN headquarters in London to hear about all their new exciting launches for 2014. If you haven’t used REN products before then you’re seriously missing out- they’re a luxury skincare brand that only use 100% plant and mineral derived products. In other words their products don’t contain any nasties so they’re perfect for sensitive skin! Two of the new releases for this year are the new day and night cream from their V-Cense range.
The V-Cense Youth Vitality Day Cream is a multi-active moisturiser that aims to prevent and minimize any premature signs of ageing whilst working to completely hydrate your skin. This product has replaced the original Vita Mineral Radiant Day Cream and contains a multiplex of actives that protect against free radicals (perfect for London pollution) and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Another property of this complex product is that whilst hydrating your skin it also boost the skins energy ad elasticity giving your complexion a natural glow.
The V-Cense Revitalising Night Cream has replaced the much loved original Frankincense Night Cream and has been specifically formulated to recharge and intensively hydrate the skin whilst you sleep. It does this by relaxing the micro-contractions in your skin whilst you sleep so you wake up with lovely smooth lines and contours. As it contains anti-ageing properties it works to smooth fine lines, evens skin tone and offer antioxidant protection to prevent premature ageing.
The duo are designed to work with one another by complimenting each others skin caring properties from dusk to dawn. The signature Frankincense scent from this range is due to the addition of Boswellia Carterli (frankincnse oil), which I found to be lovely and relaxing to use at night. I have to say that I think I preferred the night cream as I found the day cream a little too heavy as it left my skin feeling quite oily- I was however complimented on my healthy, glowy looking skin after using it so maybe it should give it another go!
