L’Occitane Au Brazil Moisturiser
I’m writing this on Sunday which has turned out to be a B-E-Autiful day so I thought now would be the perfect time to talk about some do-able beauty trends for the Summer.
You won’t be surprised that golden glowing skin is a trend for summer 2014 and I think the most natural way to achieve this is by using a lighter base- something like a tinted moisturiser or a CC cream would work perfectly. I’ve been really liking the Hydra Quench Tinted Moisturiser from Clarins as it’s light enough to not feel like you’ve got too much on the skin but also provides a good amount of coverage. I try not to use too much powder on my cheeks as I like the natural glowing look and a perfect bronzing product for this is the Radiance Gel Bronzer from Chantecaille (full review here).
The next wearable trend is orange/bright pink lips, which I think is so perfect with the glowing skin trend. I think a bright lip looks so beautiful on tanned skin and if you’re brave enough, then I say the brighter the better. I’ve got a real selection in the image above but if you want something that won’t budge in the heat then I’d suggest the Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Glosses as they have some serious staying power.
It looks like aquatic eyes are making a comeback and I find the perfect way to do this is by adding a small amount of blue to the waterline. Something like the new palette from Clarins is perfect for this look as it also has some neutral and bronzed colours.
Lastly, it isn’t really a trend but I always like to switch up my shower gels and moisturisers in the summer to something a little more fruity. My current favourite scents are the new L’Occitane Au Brazil range and the Orange and Bermagot range from Molton Brown. You can pick both of these up in Bicester Village at up to 60% off the RRP. I like to head to one of the Collection of Chic Outlet Shopping Villages whenever I’m in Europe as they have a great selection of beauty brands on top of all the amazing fashion brands. It’s a great way to stay up to date on all the latest trends on a budget. They have 9 outlet villages across Europe and 1 in Shanghai, find out more on their Facebook page.
