If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know that I’m a huge fan of Clarins make-up and skincare, so I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when their new Ladylike AW14 collection landed in my postbox.
To me this collection just screams Autumn as it’s full of warm nude, brown and taupe shades that really warm up the complexion. This collection mainly focuses on the eyes and consists of 6 Ombre Matte Cream-to-Powder Eyeshadow Pots, an Eyeshadow Quad, Eye Perfecting Base, a Brow Palette and 6 Lip Sticks (not shown).
The Brow Palette is incredibly handy for travelling as it contains mini tweezers, spoolie and brush, 3 different shades of brow shadows, a brow wax and highlighter.
I absolutely love the Eyeshadow Quad, it creates the most beautiful brown smokey eye and shadows blend so easily to give a really natural look. The Shadow Pots are also brilliant as they’re super pigmented and blend out really easily. My favourite shade is Sparkle Grey.
Lastly is the Instant Light Eye Perfecting base which acts as a primer but also evens out the skin tone of you eyelids giving you a blank canvas for shadows.
Overall, I really like the Ladylike collection, I’m a huge fan of eyeshadows and their quad and cream-to-powder pots really do work for me. They’re definitely what I’d recommend from the collection as I think they would be suitable for almost anyone. They also come with helpful how-to sheets, which is really useful if you’re not too great at applying eyeshadow.
