The New York High Line is a 1 mile walk built on an unused refurbished rail track that runs across the West Village of New York and has the most amazing views of lower Manhattan. We walked the High line twice during our stay as we loved the West Village that much and you get to see some really cool views.
It’s a really fun walk as there are lots of different pieces of art, trees and buildings along the walk which make it really interesting. There are also benches dotted around the walk so you can sit and people watch with an amazing view.
Part way through there are sections with pop up food vans and little stalls to buy art from. There’s also an ice lolly stall that sells ice lollies made completely out of fresh fruit and they’re so delicious.
Once we’d crossed over the Highline we went for some brunch at The Spotted Pig. The outside of the restaurant was so beautiful as it was completely covered is trees and bushes, it had a very secret garden style feel to it. Then once inside almost every ornament had some kind of pig resemblance to it, which was really cool and I tried to take photos but the lighting wasn’t too great.
I ordered the french toast with banana, strawberries and bourbon syrup, which is probably one of the nicest things I’ve ever had. I don’t know how they made their french toast or if it was the syrup but it was amazing. Even my boyfriend liked it and he rarely likes anything sweet. I also ordered a side of fries, which as you can see from the photo below was freakin’ huge and T ordered burger and fries.
Afterwards we spent the day wandering around the streets of Greenwich once again admiring all the beautiful brownstone houses.
I wore this beautiful bohemian like day dress from Boohoo with my new favourite fringe bag from H&M and super comfortable boots from Matalan.
