I love a new eyeshadow palette and I think after lip products, eyeshadows come a very close second as my favourite beauty products. Early last year I blogged about the launch of the Smashbox Full Exposure palette and it featured heavily on my blog due to the beautiful colours and excellent quality of the shadows. Fast forward a year and we’re about the see the launch of their next palette, Double Exposure*. Like the original it contains 14 shadows but this time they work both wet and dry, and when used wet the colour pigments are much more intense.
Also like the last palette a brush is included, one end is perfect for really packing on shadow and the other side can be used to apply the shadow as a liner. The new brush works perfect with the shadows when they’re both wet and dry. I’m a big fan of Smashbox brushes as I think they’re super soft, apply make up beautifully and wash really well.
What I like about this palette along with the quality of the shadows is the range of shades included. I tend to stick to brown and golden shades so this palette has allowed me to experiment with different colours. I love the purples from the left hand side of the palette but my favourites are the dark red and cranberry shades from the right hand side.
The new Double Exposure palette costs £37, which seems quite pricey but with that you get a really great quality brush and the equivalent of 28 shadows.
The new palette can be found online at Smashbox or online and in store atBoots.
