Last week I attended Ladies Day at Royal Ascot with Sky Bet for a day of bubbles and betting. All going well I’ve got a Get Ready With Me video coming up on my YouTube but I thought I’d run through what I choose to wear on the day in a separate post.
I recently attended a Dove event around colour confidence where Stylist Alex Longmore matched which colours work best with my skin tone and hair and she suggested pastel and nudes worked perfectly for me. With this in mind I opted for an old cream Issa dress with wrap detail in the middle which I love as I think it looks really flattering. I had planned on wearing my friend Tara’s black hat but it would appear I have a rather small head so bought this last minute fascinator from Accessorize at the station about 30 mins before our train! My bag is from Ted Baker and I think the peachy orange tones work really well with the nude dress. Then finally I wore my most comfortable gladiator style shoes from Zara. And trust me, when you go to Ascot you want to opt for comfort as you’re on your feet all day.
I went to the races with my lovely friend Josie, who took these pictures for me and we had such a fun day winning some money and sitting in the sunshine all day! If you’ve never been to the races I’d definitely recommend going, it’s such a fun day out especially if the sun is shining!
