Earlier last week you may have seen all over my Instagram stories that I had a delightful afternoon tea at Sketch. Sketch is one of those magical places in London that everyone has heard of and has either been or it’s on the top of their To Go list. The pink room specifically in Sketch is what the venue is so famous for and it’s easy to see why. Absolutely everything is pink, from the plush velvet chairs, to the walls and ceiling, it really is the dream.
To mark the occasion of having afternoon tea in an entirely pink dining room I decided to take my new baby pink Valentino Glam Rock Bag out for a whirl. This pretty little thing is from Farfetchand I couldn’t think of a more perfect location to take it. I paired it with my pale grey waterfall coat from Zara last year, but I’ve managed to find one almost identical from Dorothy Perkins. My boots are from Emu Australia and are the snuggliest thing ever as they’re lined with Merino wool which makes them so comfortable to walk in. Almost like you’re wearing slippers outside, and who doesn’t want that?!
For Christmas Sketch have transformed the front of the venue into a winter wonderland. You walk through a canopy of snow dusted trees until you reach the pink dining room, and then if you’ve been to Sketch before you’ll know that they have the coolest toilets ever and they’ve even turn that area into a winter wonderland.
We had their traditional afternoon tea with champagne and for my tree I had the Christmas Chai, which I’d highly recommend. This is also one of those afternoons teas where you can keep asking for your favourite part to be refilled. If you’re looking for a festive afternoon tea in a special location I’d recommend trying to book sketch, you won’t regret it.
