Around this time last year I took a trip to Amsterdam, which you may well remember if you’ve been following me for over a year! This was my first time visiting Amsterdam and even though it was a short trip of one night, I absolutely fell in love with the city and would 100% visit again for longer. I stayed in the super well known, the Pulitzer Hotel, which is an absolutely stunning hotel located right on the river, in the heart of the city.
There’s a few reasons why I loved this hotel, but probably the main reason is due to the stunning decor. Everything was either velvet or brushed gold and there were tiny little antique details dotted all around the place which gave it such a homely, vintage feel. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by a a beautiful little flower stall on the right hand side of the entrance before you walk through into the huge reception area of the hotel where you’re really introduced to the stunning decor.
I cannot even tell you how stunning this area is, there is a beautiful 3 seat mustard, velvet chair, beyond dreamy lilac huge arm chair and floral art work to die for. If the interior designer could also decorate my flat that would be wonderful!
My favourite part of the hotel, however was the stunning Pause restaurant, which has velvet green and marble tables (aka, the absolute dream decor) and is located in the conservatory at the back of the hotel so it’s flooded with natural light! This is the perfect place for breakfast or lunch, especially on a sunny day!
I didn’t love the decor in my actual room, but I think they tend to vary. However, I did love my bathroom, which was completely marble and again had gold details all around. I also had a stunning view of the river outside my window, which I’d recommend trying to book if you can as then you wake up with the best view.
s you can probably tell I absolutely loved my stay at the Pulitzer Hotel so if you’re heading to Amsterdam this year have a look at them, because they’re situated in such a good location and you’re guaranteed a beautiful stay.
