Over the past year I’ve really nailed down my go to quick mum make-up for when you have a toddler crawling all over you or just 5 minutes to spare.
I very rarely wear foundation any more and I’ve found my skin has absolutely loved me for it. Instead I use a combination of highlight, some gel bronzer and concealer under my eyes and this gives me enough coverage. The products I use for this are the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter (shade fair), which gives a really amazing natural glow, the new Elemis Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser also gives similar results. I then use a couple of dabs of Decleor Green Mandarin Sun-Kissed Cream, which is a gel based bronze product and as the name suggests gives a sun-kissed look to the skin. I kind of blend these two together all over the face and then add two swipes of concealer under my eyes, blend that under my eyes and then go over the rest of my face with the brush to add a little bit of coverage with any left over product. The concealer I’ve been loving recently is the Tarte Shape Tape Contour Concealer (shade light).
I then set all of this with the Charlotte Tilbury Genius Magic Powder. For a little extra bronze I use the Benefit Hoola Bronzer, my all time favourite bronzer. For cheeks I love the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge’s (shade Powder Pink) as they’re super quick to apply and the cream texture gives you a bit of extra glow. If you can’t tell, my main aim is to look like a bronzed, glowing goddess to offset the lack of sleep look.
Moving onto brows I can’t recommend the Beauty Pie Superbrow Luxe Precision Pencil(shade Perfect Brown ‘Cool’) enough, it has a super fine nib so you can draw on individual hairs, and it has a spooley on the end to brush through the product and tame your hairs.
Lastly, I’ll add a quick swipe of mascara and my go to is the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara and then I’m good to go.
I can generally do this make up really quickly as I blend all the base products together and then pop on some bronzer and blush. If I have some extra time, sometimes I will add a little bit of eyeshadow. My favourites are the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks as these are so quick to swipe over the lids then blend in with your fingers and they come in a million colours.
